The Biology Journal Club is a fortnightly after-school club that can be run at your school for Year 12 Biology Students. The sessions are led by two PhD students from the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences and incorporate a range of different session styles including round-table discussions, debates and short practicals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore scientific literature and gain an understanding of what it would be like to study biology at degree level. The full programme contains eight sessions designed to run over the course of a single term, however we are offering a 2 session trial this term for interested schools.
Further details on this event can be found here: Biology journal club
Due to the nature of the funding for this project, priority will be given to schools who meet Widening Participation criteria.
